‘Art Under Glass’ Fall Festival

We invite you to join us as we celebrate creativity and the fall season. Each weekend in October, we are the proud host of talented local artists, crafters and musicians, as well as plenty of fun fall activities including ~ hayrides to the pumpkin patch, a 3-acre corn maze, pumpkin painting, a pumpkin launch, petting zoo, face painting, and more!

Peruse other vendor’s handcrafted items, or take an art class and create something yourself! The art classes available all month include Painting with a Twist, Needle Felting, and Enviro Art Kid’s Workshops. The artists & crafters, musicians, and art classes change each weekend. Check our schedule of Upcoming Events to see what’s happening each day.

All of our activities “under glass” will take place RAIN OR SHINE — arts & crafts vendors, live music, face painting, pumpkin painting, the free kids’ play area with hay maze, and a TV with your favorite college and NFL games. We will be under the cover of the greenhouse, so there’s plenty of fun to be had, even if it’s raining!

Hayrides to the Pumpkin Patch will take place every weekend in October from 11:00 am – 5:00 pm. Included is the challenging 3-acre Corn Maze, Pumpkin Launch, and Petting Zoo. See the Art Under Glass webpage for prices. Hayrides will take place as long as the ground is dry and safe for the tractor.

Locally Made Honey

September 9, 2014

Mark and Sara Bedillion own the Bedillion Honey Farm & Farm Market, a roadside stand on Route 18 in Mt. Pleasant Township. What began as a hobby ten years ago has blossomed into a full-time family business. The couple and their four children, who range in age from 17 to 3, handle the entire honeybee operation, from harvesting the honey twice a year, extracting the sticky golden liquid, bottling and marketing.

Bees pollinate $63 million worth of crops in Pennsylvania and more than $15 billion worth throughout the country, and educating people about the value of bees and promoting beekeeping are important to this family. Mark offers beekeeping lessons, which include how to set up a hive, proper use of tools and equipment, feeding and proper bee space.

Bedner’s Farm & Greenhouse is proud to offer Bedillion Honey. For more information about the Bedillion Honey Farm & Farm Market, go to bedillionhoneyfarm.com.
